Are
The Rehearsals Taking Place At The Conference Venue?
If
so, are you sure the conference executive and his or
her staff know who is arriving for rehearsals, how many
and when? Do you know exactly what you want – which
rooms, when and for how long, what facilities, services
and equipment? Is this all covered in your booking form
or contract? If not, notify any changes by telephone
immediately, following up with a letter of confirmation.
Is
the venue unavailable on your chosen dates? Should you
rearrange rehearsals so they can be held there, in the
actual conference environment so that shortcomings can
be seen now, rather than later? Should they be held
elsewhere – at head office, maybe? Is this wise, or
is it better to spend money on the venue so you can
assess it in action? You can’t afford to wait until
the event to discover its weaknesses.
