A Contacts List
Having identified who you are looking for in terms
of types and numbers, go on to compile a list of people
who are worth approaching, This list may be drawn
from a variety of sources, as follows.
1)
Will they be from outside your promoter/client's organisation?
Should business associates, suppliers, sellers, intermediaries,
important clients and others be there?
2)Are they aware of other people who should also
attend? Other contacts such as friends and relatives
are unlikely to be invited, but are they aware of others
who could be ideal delegates in the circumstances?
3)Have you thought about the sponsors of your
conference, if appropriate? Other firms involved with
the conference: Perhaps those holding an exhibition
alongside your event?Do you want their key personnel
to attend? Could they supply you with a list of their
clients?
4)Are there any other individuals or organisations
to consider? The local tourist board may be able to
suggest names to be added to your growing list of prospective
delegates.
