How About Transportation

Participants and products have to be shifted to and from the Venue

You may decide to use taxis or minicabs to transport speakers and their partners, either individually, or in couples. Should they be picked up from home or work, taken to and from the venue in style? Will, say, thirty or a hundred delegates and their partners be transported en masse? Do you need to lay on coaches and set pick-up points and drop-off points on return? During the conference, are taxis, minibuses and coaches needed to take them to and from the venue and overnight accommodation and out and about, if appropriate?

Will you transport products, a podium, a stage set, display units or stands, flip charts, overhead projectors, televisions and camcorders by car, taxi or minicab? Will they be safe and insured? Will you use a lorry, perhaps, for larger and more cumbersome items such as chairs, desks and tables for the conference rooms? Again, will they arrive undamaged – and insured, too, just in case?
