Risk Management in Negotiations
A
key element in meeting and event planning is to assure
compliance with various laws and regulations. These
may include how one treats and handles an attendee who
has a disability, or liquor liability, copyright claims,
etc. It may also be how one moves large pieces of equipment
or exotic plants, how to overcome and be prepared for
emergencies, and the like.
It's
imperative to remember that it is easier to keep out
of legal trouble than to get out of legal trouble. Making
sure that competent legal advice is obtained is a step
in the right direction.
