PRICING YOUR SERVICES:

It is very essential for a funeral director to identify the services that he can extend to his clients. This will help him to prepare a rate chart as well aid him in billing his clients. He can do this under the following heads:

Basic Charge for Services of Funeral Director and Staff/Overhead -

  • staff availability 24 hours a day · receiving the first call
  • coordinating the release of the remains from the place of death
  • liaison with doctor, medical examiner or coroner
  • making funeral arrangements with the family of responsible parties
  • implementation of funeral arrangements by coordination with the clergy, cemetery, or crematory, musicians, florists, etc.
  • preparation and placement of media announcements
  • preparation and filing of all documents

This fee for our BASIC SERVICES AND OVERHEAD will be added to the cost of the funeral arrangements you select.

Along with the above he can individually break up his fees in the following heads

  1. Embalming (basic) + Additional charge for embalming involving autopsy, organ donation, etc.
  2. Dressing and Cosmetology
  3. Disinfection

  11. Any additional charges
