work of a wedding co-ordinator is divided into three
sections and they are:
Wedding
arrangements require a lot of planning. Chalk out
a list of all you have to do within a particular time
period. Proceed in the following order:

Approach
your client. Have a detailed discussion about how
the wedding should be conducted. Ask them things
like:-

Details
about the bride/bridegroom’s family, their status,
the family background and the positions they hold.
These details are important because based on this
information the wedding co-ordinator can actually
gauge how the wedding should be conducted. He will
have a brief idea about what kind of people would
be attending the wedding and what the whole event
should look like.

Enquire
about their rituals, customs, ceremonies and other
things to understand what their requirements. Understand
the basic concept of how their wedding works. Clarify
doubts instantly to avoid unnecessary confusion.

Budgeting
is undeniably the most important thing. Determine
the total cost of the wedding. Sometimes you could
even give suggestions to the client saying he/she
could deduct/add money for a particular item.

Discuss
about invitation cards, food, décor, decoration
and other things.

Don’t
forget transportation. Ask them whether they have
any relatives coming from abroad, or within the
country. Ask for the dates when they are likely
to arrive and arrange for transport accordingly.
Also ask them the dates for booking their return
tickets.
